Testimonial from Lauren
Hi,
My name is Lauren. I am a mother of a beautiful 5 year old little girl, I am going to start work at an
amazing insurance company – doing what I absolutely love, I am in a loving relationship with the
man of my dreams – my daughter’s father, I take my dogs (one at a time) for walks every morning,
my life is absolutely fabulous. It is exactly how I dreamed it would be.
But it wasn’t always like this…
My entire life, I have been trying to impress everyone else, or work towards a goal that was actually
somebody else’s dream, or quit that friend or this boyfriend because my brother didn’t approve.
Take that course and try this out because that one and this one says so. Always searching for
approval – from the people that shouldn’t matter / the family that should love me whether I pass or
fail!
And this is how my entire life had been in school. When I think back to it, not once did I ever feel like
I was living my life for me.
Then I attended university – far away – and my life took a new direction. I never seemed to make
friends with other girls or guys in my classes. I became good friends with all the outsiders – the
barmen and waitresses that I worked with at a club – The Crazy Zebra!
And I discovered that you feel appreciated and you receive approval if you are on drugs with all the
druggies.
And that is when it all started for me. In 2002.
Over the next 18 years I became a regular on the drug scene. And I smoked a lot of weed, tried
mushrooms, took some LSD, a LOT of ecstasy, and tried out cocaine. Wow I liked that! Everyone just
loves each other. Jump forward a few years and I am waitressing at another restaurant / club, and
taking more drugs with other people, and again falling for the wrong guy / guys. And trying out the
new thing: Kat through a straw! Wow!
However, through all of this, I tried to remain the good girl. Ie: I was still attending varsity, I was still
going to gym, and playing volleyball. I still travelled the Caribbean and the Mediterranean working
on a cruise ship. So, to all my outsider friends, I looked like the fantastic, successful, clever one.
And I also liked that.
The feeling of approval – from everyone else. From all the people that don’t matter. From all the
people that I don’t even speak to anymore.
Something in this never ending circle seemed to change in 2014.
I got together with my childhood sweetheart – but I had known him since we were little, we grew up
in the same road, and there was a group of us all living in that same road. 11 of us to be exact. So he
was good friends with my brothers. And we had fun together, took ecstasy and went to raves
together, and bunked in the park and smoked weed together.
When we got together in 2014, we became inseparable. And the main ingredient in our relationship
was: drugs!
Kat and Crystal Meth to be exact!
And then the rumours started. And the talking behind our backs. And we were frowned upon.
In 2015 I found out that I was pregnant. And I gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl. And I
thought to myself: “Ok, now my life starts” My hubby will come clean now because he is a Daddy,
and I will never touch drugs again.
I kid you not, when my baby girl was 11 days old, I was back on crystal meth!
Success cannot come if you are on that shit all the time.
We never ever thought we had a problem, we just used more and more, to the point where we were
physically fighting, and I had some cuts and bruises to prove it. I even went to apply for a protection
order. And it was signed sealed and delivered to him.
I lacked self-confidence, I felt helpless and useless. The one decent job I got, I lost due to drugs. Not
because I was bust, but because my colleagues and my manager just ‘knew’ that I was on something,
so they planted drugs on me and got me dismissed from the company.
And then it became worse over the next few years.
In April 2020, in the middle of the Coronovirus Pandemic, I started coaching with Lauren Laventhal.
On our very first meeting, she put the confidence back in me that I had lost years and years ago. She
uplifted my spirits and made me feel mentally strong and excited about my future again.
I won’t say that Lauren changed my perspective, but she helped me to change my perspective – all
by myself.
And it did not end there.
The sessions I booked with Lauren had me excited. She finds out what you need to do to get to
where you want to go, then she helps you believe that you can get there.
And then?
You get there.
Lauren is a brilliant tool for anybody looking to shift their focus, or completely change their direction
in life.
She does not tell you what you need to do, she brings it out of you. You tell her what you need to do.
And then? You do it! Sometimes all it takes is 10 minutes with Lauren on the phone.
And she can help you in any and every area of your life.
In the very beginning, it was all about quitting drugs. Which I did quite easily, because the coaching I
received from Lauren while going through that – made it easy. I got more inspiration to better my
life, than she even believed was possible. I felt like I was on a different type of high – high on life,
excited about future possibilities and opportunities. I started exercising every day, twice a day,
eating right, and seeing amazing changes in my body. It was exhilarating. It was still lockdown, so
every day it was just me and my daughter in our cosy townhouse, and phone sessions with Lauren.
And then it was all about applying for jobs and going for interviews, corresponding with future
business potentials.
If there is 1 area that I can give 10 out of 10 to Lauren for, it is business. Wow! Her mind works like
a machine when you talk business proposals and opportunities with her. She makes you see things
that make so much sense. It just works!
So for all the entrepreneurs out there: if you feel like you are in a rut and you feel stuck, invest your
time in Lauren Laventhal. She has the most brilliant business mind I have ever come across in my
life! You will not be disappointed.
Lauren is a life coach, and today it does not feel like she coached my life. It feels like I did it. And I did
do it. I am exactly the same person today as I was in April 2020, but, my mind-set has changed.
Lauren helps you to do that. You don’t even realise that it is happening, and before you know it, you
are reminiscing about how far you have come in such a short time, and you start to think back to the
exact moments that these changes took place..
And…
There aren’t any! That is how good Lauren is.
Today, I have the same beautiful daughter I had 5 years ago, I am with the same guy that I got a
protection order against, I am still not talking to my family that much, and I am not yet working.
But…
I am extremely happy, confident, empowered and motivated to keep on rising and soaring. And even
though I do not need Lauren as much as I did, she is still there for me anytime I need to talk to her.
I can honestly say that having Lauren Laventhal as my life coach is by far the best thing I have ever
done.
And when people ask me: “Why? What did she do?”
I don’t know how to respond…?
